work experience with
Smurfit Kappa Display
The live brief for this project was set by Smurfit Kappa Display and we had to create a front-of-store display (with theatre) for the promotion of Doritos crisps who were running a competition to win a Playstation 5. To learn the process I created a Tesco Clubcard FSDU (Free Standing Display unit) adhering to the strict Tesco guidelines as well as a single branded Doritos x Playstation FSDU. From this I designed the extra theatre for a high impact point of purchase (POP) display that delivers maximum stopping power by creating a unique and large brand experience, worthy of its front-of-store position.

Last few changes made:
-
Removed the black backing in the centre and made it hollow. Structurally it is sturdy without and it is best not to have a big opaque board in the centre as it can encourage shoplifting/ give you a blind spot with the cameras.
-
Added the Playstation buttons to the header panel with the Dorito in place of the triangle button as they have strong brand recognition and it helps to improve understanding of the display from afar i.e. what you can win.
-
Added a circular base as I have not utilised that area. It invites you in with the 'grab a bag to play' message - you are stepping into the competition.
